Artist's Description
While doing this painting I watched people get in and out of these gondolas seeing how much they enjoyed the experience. After finishing the piece, I bought two tickets and my wife had tears coming down her checks during our tour.
About Paul Strahm
Since 1997, I have been working full time as a fine art professional of oil painting in the plein air genre. Taking my easel and paints to the outdoors, setting up and painting what I see. My style has evolved from a more rendering approach to painting with less detail and more brush stroke. Traveling to other cities, states and countries has "broadened my horizon."
