In Des Moines, Iowa, amongst some tall trees and in front of a charming home was this semi-truck, apparently waiting for his next haul. Not something you would normally see in the San Diego area where I am from so I had to capture it! Done alla prima on location from across the street.

Since 1997, I have been working full time as a fine art professional of oil painting in the plein air genre. Taking my easel and paints to the outdoors, setting up and painting what I see. My style has evolved from a more rendering approach to painting with less detail and more brush stroke. Traveling to other cities, states and countries has "broadened my horizon." Different light, landscapes, architecture and culture bring new excitement to my work. Exhibiting in galleries, museums and art clubs have played a important role in my career.
