This painting is alive and well with vibrant blue water and sailboats gliding effortlessly around the bay. A commissioned piece from about 1999, this painting was done for nostalgic reasons. Memories from childhood playing amongst an idyllic setting. Those were good times, I am sure.
About Paul Strahm
Since 1997, I have been working full time as a fine art professional of oil painting in the plein air genre. Taking my easel and paints to the outdoors, setting up and painting what I see. My style has evolved from a more rendering approach to painting with less detail and more brush stroke. Traveling to other cities, states and countries has "broadened my horizon." Different light, landscapes, architecture and culture bring new excitement to my work. Exhibiting in galleries, museums and art clubs have played a important role in my career.
