A spectacular view is found along La Jolla's northern coast with a trail allowing one to walk 80 feet above the ocean surface. This painting was completed while perched on another point known to locals as the clam. A favorite view with plein air painters from around the world!
About Paul Strahm
Since 1997, I have been working full time as a fine art professional of oil painting in the plein air genre. Taking my easel and paints to the outdoors, setting up and painting what I see. My style has evolved from a more rendering approach to painting with less detail and more brush stroke. Traveling to other cities, states and countries has "broadened my horizon." Different light, landscapes, architecture and culture bring new excitement to my work. Exhibiting in galleries, museums and art clubs have played a important role in my career.
