A beautiful day at the beach no matter if you are walking, cycling, rollerblading or just hanging out people-watching. Mission Beach is a popular place to go with Belmont Park for entertainment when you are bored with the beach, as if that were possible. This is a plein oil painting done on location in sunny San Diego, California, USA.

Since 1997, I have been working full time as a fine art professional of oil painting in the plein air genre. Taking my easel and paints to the outdoors, setting up and painting what I see. My style has evolved from a more rendering approach to painting with less detail and more brush stroke. Traveling to other cities, states and countries has "broadened my horizon."
