The San Diego Maritime Museum is situated along the San Diego Bay and is visited by thousands every year. It's main house is a historic ferry called the Berkeley. I finally did a plein air painting of it and the original sold pretty soon after it's completion.

Since 1997, I have been working full time as a fine art professional of oil painting in the plein air genre. Taking my easel and paints to the outdoors, setting up and painting what I see. My style has evolved from a more rendering approach to painting with less detail and more brush stroke. Traveling to other cities, states and countries has "broadened my horizon." Different light, landscapes, architecture and culture bring new excitement to my work. Exhibiting in galleries, museums and art clubs have played a important role in my career.
