Inspired by George Seurat's famous painting. A beautiful and typical Sunday afternoon on the often traveled boardwalk along the Pacific Ocean in La Jolla, San Diego, California. A child tying their shoe, a baby being pushed in a stroller, a dog people watching, a couple enjoying a moment in the green belvedere. So much going on. This is an energetic, yet scenic painting that was done in large scale. Original is for sale.

Since 1997, I have been working full time as a fine art professional of oil painting in the plein air genre. Taking my easel and paints to the outdoors, setting up and painting what I see. My style has evolved from a more rendering approach to painting with less detail and more brush stroke. Traveling to other cities, states and countries has "broadened my horizon." Different light, landscapes, architecture and culture bring new excitement to my work. Exhibiting in galleries, museums and art clubs have played a important role in my career.
