The San Diego River runs for about fifty miles winding through what is called Mission Valley. A beautiful, serene river that quietly flows by millions of people without many noticing its splendor. This angle was painted from off of Sea World Drive looking toward the bluff where the Presidio sets and Mission Hills.

Since 1997, I have been working full time as a fine art professional of oil painting in the plein air genre. Taking my easel and paints to the outdoors, setting up and painting what I see. My style has evolved from a more rendering approach to painting with less detail and more brush stroke. Traveling to other cities, states and countries has "broadened my horizon." Different light, landscapes, architecture and culture bring new excitement to my work. Exhibiting in galleries, museums and art clubs have played a important role in my career.
