A dusty town along the Colorado River is a great place for camping, hiking, biking, rafting or just plein air painting! They host an annual plein air painting competition every October and this painting is a result of a week in this colorful little town! The painting was done at the intersection of Main St. and Center St. in front of the Cooper-Martin Building looking towards The Spoke on Center Restaurant, a favorite of bicyclists.

Since 1997, I have been working full time as a fine art professional of oil painting in the plein air genre. Taking my easel and paints to the outdoors, setting up and painting what I see. My style has evolved from a more rendering approach to painting with less detail and more brush stroke. Traveling to other cities, states and countries has "broadened my horizon." Different light, landscapes, architecture and culture bring new excitement to my work. Exhibiting in galleries, museums and art clubs have played a important role in my career.
