Artist's Description

The First Avenue Bridge is a Steel Truss Arch Bridge that spans 463 feet across connecting Redwood Street and Nutmeg Street. Just over 100 feet below is the beautiful Maple Canyon Open Space used mainly for hiking. The bridge has been nicknamed "People's Bridge" because it was built because the residents in the area requested it. This is a beautiful view OF the bridge but there are also many beautiful views FROM the bridge -- especially looking towards the San Diego Harbor
