A plein air painting of the Rival, a bait boat that goes out every morning to net bait used by both commercial fisherman and sport fishing boats. I watch it "home" in the evenings, tossing the leftover bait in the air for the flock of seagulls that hover above.
About Paul Strahm
Since 1997, I have been working full time as a fine art professional of oil painting in the plein air genre. Taking my easel and paints to the outdoors, setting up and painting what I see. My style has evolved from a more rendering approach to painting with less detail and more brush stroke. Traveling to other cities, states and countries has "broadened my horizon."
