Artist's Description

The day I painted this fountain the water was dyed yellow for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. It was painted on location and for obvious reasons I toned down the yellow a bit. The fountain was in Mill Creek Park across from the Plaza. A beautiful city full of fountains that reminded me of Europe.

Since 1997, I have been working full time as a fine art professional of oil painting in the plein air genre. Taking my easel and paints to the outdoors, setting up and painting what I see. My style has evolved from a more rendering approach to painting with less detail and more brush stroke. Traveling to other cities, states and countries has "broadened my horizon." Different light, landscapes, architecture and culture bring new excitement to my work. Exhibiting in galleries, museums and art clubs have played a important role in my career.
