Artist's Description
The Historic Rialto Theatre of South Pasadena was scheduled for demolition before the local art community stepped in to save her. The California Art Club of Pasadena hosted a Plein air painting paint out and exhibition in support of this cause. Today the building has been renovated and is a viable historic part of the city!
About Paul Strahm
Since 1997, I have been working full time as a fine art professional of oil painting in the plein air genre. Taking my easel and paints to the outdoors, setting up and painting what I see. My style has evolved from a more rendering approach to painting with less detail and more brush stroke. Traveling to other cities, states and countries has "broadened my horizon."
