Artist's Description
I created this painting on location across the river from the historic Wrigley Building in Chicago, Illinois. While I painted, the Michigan Avenue Bridge lifted up for some boats to go by and the Wendell Boat Tour came and went. The Tribune Building is on the right with the flag on the top.
About Paul Strahm
Since 1997, I have been working full time as a fine art professional of oil painting in the plein air genre. Taking my easel and paints to the outdoors, setting up and painting what I see. My style has evolved from a more rendering approach to painting with less detail and more brush stroke. Traveling to other cities, states and countries has "broadened my horizon."
